I primarily photograph newborn, maternity, family, and senior portrait sessions. I do, on occasion, photograph weddings when they work with my schedule. This wedding just may have convinced me that I need to do more! It was so lovely and I am so glad that I was able to be a part of it. There really isn’t anything more amazing than capturing love.
The wedding ceremony and sit down dinner were held at Oregon Electric Station. Oregon Electric Station makes for a very cool venue for any event. It’s a restaurant located in Eugene, OR, originally built in 1912 as a station for Oregon Electric Railway. It was later converted to a restaurant in 1977. The private room where the ceremony and dinner took place was beautifully decorated and made this small wedding feel intimate and special.
I met this couple about a year ago when I was photographing Sharon, one of the brides, parent’s wedding anniversary. She is also the aunt of some of my most cherished clients. I was so happy to have the opportunity to work with this family again, this time capturing their beautiful wedding day.
This wedding was beautiful for many reasons but I think the thing that stands out to me the most was how much these two women genuinely love and respect each other. Their words spoken in their vows illustrate their level of commitment to one another. The room had an overall feeling of love. Their friends and family had smiles on their faces and were genuinely so happy to for these women. It was perfect and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to document it all.
