Full disclosure, blogging is my least favorite thing to do, business wise! I am going to try my very best to blog more frequently. I have so many sessions to share from the past year. This one was definitely a highlight, or shall I say these three sessions, maternity, birth, and newborn.
I met this couple last January for their maternity session. I could tell right away they were pretty special people and so excited to be parents. We had their maternity session out at Dorris Ranch. It’s beautiful even in the dead of winter, definitely one of my favorite spots for photo sessions. During the photo session, mama Rebecca asked me if I ever photograph births. I said yes! And just like that, I was now going to document their birth.
I was so excited! I love, love photographing new life coming into the world. I put their due date on my calendar and eagerly waited. Well, he, (they didn’t know what they were having) decided to come 3 weeks early. Rebecca was a rockstar. All natural! She worked so hard and made it look easy! And Jeremy, (daddy) was equally amazing! He was supportive and attentive. They made a great team. I am humbled and honored to capture these intimate and private moments.
Less than 2 weeks later I came to their home for their newborn session. Tobias had already changed so much. He looked right into my camera with his bright, curious eyes. Rebecca and Jeremy, like most new parents were a little sleep deprived, but clearly very much in love with their new little guy.
These sessions fill me up! I am grateful.
