I get a lot of questions from clients about what size of prints they should order for their walls. I used to consider an 8×10 a large print. If you hang an 8×10 on your wall you will see it looks quite small and doesn’t stand out as art unless it is grouped with a collage of photos of larger sizes. Here is an example that fills the space beautifully. The large photo is 20×24 and the smaller ones are 11×14′s.
This gallery mounted canvas is 16×24 size. It fills the space fine but I could have and wish I would have gone bigger!
This last photo is a collage of 16×20′s and 11×14′s. The 11×14′s look small. Again, I wish I would have gone bigger!
It can be hard to visualize what size will look good on your walls. Remember you are hanging art and don’t be afraid to go big!!
Here are a couple of my little ones that are both seeming not so little anymore! They are growing up fast!
